The airport to reach is Catania, from where a number connections by bus link Taormina. The distance is around 50 Km and many hotels have shuttle connections. A taxi could also be used, but it's better to  agree about the price in advance.

There is a huge number of hotels in the area, in Naxos beach, close to the sea, or in Taormina, but of course the period is still not low season, so I would suggest to look at a web site like Booking.com or so. We are a too limited number of people to require special fares, so do by yourself and do not hesitate to let me know if you  need any support in this.
