The big impact of a big dish: Science with the Effelsberg 100-m Telescope

Venue

The workshop takes place at the MPIfR in Bonn. Talks will be given in lecture hall 0.02 near the main entrance. Registration, coffee breaks and posters will be in front of the lecture hall.

The institute can be reached easily by public transport from Bonn main station with bus 610/611 (direction Duisdorf or Lessenich, one bus every 10 min) to the stop "Immenburgpark". There are other options (608/609/800/845/SB69) to "Auf dem Hügel" with a 5-10-min walk.

From the airport you can take bus SB60 to Bonn main station and continue with 610/611 from there.

Meals

In addition to the coffee breaks we will provide light lunches on both days of the workshop. On the evening of the first day we will have the conference dinner at the meeting site before the poster session. All meals come for free.

If you have special dietary requirements, or if you decide not to join the lunches or the dinner, and have not told us already, please do so either by email or via the "Modify my Registration" menu item on the left (needs logging in with Indico account).

Effelsberg tour

On the Thursday after the workshop (22nd Feb) we offer a tour to the Effelsberg observatory. The bus (30 people max) will leave from the institute at 9:00 and return approximately 13:30. If your plans regarding your participation of the tour have changed, please let us know.

Presentations

Speakers are asked to use our computer for their presentation. Please provide the file well in advance of your session! If needed, own laptops can also be connected. We are planning to show all presentations (unless you object) on the workshop web page, including posters. Even if you are using your own computer you are asked to provide the file.

Posters will be shown in the entrance hall near the lecture hall.
