The 2025 NEON Observing school will take place in Spain at the facilities of the The Hispanic Astronomical Center in Andalusia (CAHA), also known as the Calar Alto Observatory, 2 - 14 February 2025.
The school is primarily meant for PhD students in Astronomy, who do not have prior experience in observing with professional telescopes. MSc students in the late stages of their thesis work, and junior PostDocs who do not have observing experience, can also be considered.
ORP will pay the accommodation in shared rooms and meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the whole school.
In addition, there is some very limited travel support available and in exceptional cases support for attending the school can be provided. If you need travel support, indicate it in the form and contact the organiser directly by emailing korhonen@mpia.de. In the email justify the need for the travel support and provide a detailed budget.
More information on the school is provided on the main website of the event.
