Content
Recent space VLBI observations with Radioastron have allowed us to image the jet in the quasar 0836+710 with great detail. The combination of these results with previous space and gound VLBI observations show a very detailed picture of the jet structure. It confirms the interpretation of the visible radio-jet as high-pressure regions with higher emissivity at GHz frequencies within a wider flow. The analysis of our results will tackle the properties of these regions and their relation to the underlying jet flow. In this contribution I will discuss the physicals processes that could explain such configuration of the jet emissivity.
