2024 NEON Observing School

The 2024 NEON Observing school will take place in Greece at the facilities of the National Observatory of Athens 13 - 25 October 2024.

The school is primarily meant for PhD students in Astronomy, who do not have prior experience in observing with professional telescopes. MSc students in the late stages of their thesis work, and young PostDocs who do not have observing experience, can also be considered.

ORP will pay the accommodation in shared rooms and most of the meals. The paid meals include breakfast and lunche during the whole school. On observing days the dinner will also be paid. Other days one can find afordable dinner options close to the accommodation.
