RATIONALE

The BONN neutron star workshops aim to bring together observers and theoretisians to exchange and discuss new ideas at the forefront of neutron star research.

The theme of the XVII workshop is: "Advancing pulsar science: opportunities, challenges & mysteries", which will cover:

  • Latest results from pulsar timing arrays
  • Gravitational wave searches
  • Alternative sources of metric perturbations in the long-wavelength regime
  • Beyond radio: results from NICER, the IXPE mission, Fermi LAT & TeV pulsars
  • Advantages of using multi-band pulsar observations
  • New members of the neutron star population

STRUCTURE OF THE MEETING

Each presentation has a duration of 15 minutes (including Q&A).  At the end of the meeting, there will be a wrap-up session, in which the main topics and open questions will be discussed. Lunches and coffee breaks are sponsored by the MPIfR and there will be an optional conference dinner at your own expense.
