 ar\ncommunication is essential for the work to be understood and\napprecia
 ted (and cited) by colleagues. In this lecture\, some basic\naspects of sc
 ientific writing will be outlined\, including the\npreparation for the wri
 te-up\, the structure of a paper\, aspects of\nclarity (recall: results in
  natural sciences should be reproducible)\,\nsome comments on figures\, as
  well as ethical aspects. In addition\, we\nwill together take a look at t
