 sics)\nStrong gravitational lensing by galaxies provides us with a powerfu
 l laboratory for testing dark matter models. Various particle models for d
 ark matter give rise to different small-scale distributions of mass in the
  lens galaxy\, which can be differentiated if the observation is sensitive
  enough. The sensitivity of a gravitational lens observation to the presen
 ce (or absence) of low-mass dark structures in the lens galaxy is determin
 ed mainly by the angular resolution of the instrument and the spatial stru
 cture of the source.\n\nIn this talk\, I will present results from the ana
 lysis of a global VLBI observation of a gravitationally lensed radio jet. 
 With an angular resolution better than 5 milli-arcseconds and a highly ext
 ended\, spatially resolved source\, we are able to place competitive const
 raints on the particle mass in fuzzy dark matter models using this single 
 observation. I will also present preliminary results from our analysis of 
 warm dark matter models using this lens system. Our results illustrate the
  key role that next-generation VLBI observations will play in revealing th
 e nature of dark matter\, especially in light of the ~105 gravitational le
 ns systems with radio-bright sources that will be discovered by the Square

 Tautenburg)\nState of the art radio observations of the universe enable us
  to image in high resolution and sensitivity the active galactic nuclei (A
 GN) radio population\, and\, by using multi-wavelength data available\, to
  extract information about the radio properties and their interaction with
  the environment. I will discuss how the combination of visual and machine
  learning techniques\, and the inclusion of citizen science\, can provide 
 widely applicable tools for use in the SKA era. Such tools include a commo
 n language for classification\, using natural language processing\, as wel
 l as machine/deep learning approaches to classify radio structures in surv
 eys. In the spirit of providing viable examples that could be adopted for 
 ngVLA\, I will discuss real science cases drawn from studies with the COSM
 OS JVLA and MeerKAT-MIGHTEE DR1 GHz data\, and the Evolutionary map of the
  Universe (EMU) Radio Galaxy Zoo (RGZ-EMU) citizen science project.\n\nhtt

 mp\; Smithsonian)\nA key science goal of the ngVLA is to probe emerging pl
 anetary systems when planet masses\, compositions\, and orbital architectu
 res are established in the disks around young stars. The ngVLA will have t
 he unique combination of high resolution and sensitivity at millimeter wav
 elengths to image thermal dust emission at sub-au scales in 100's of these
  planet-forming disks. In particular\, the ngVLA will detect and resolve t
 hermal dust emission features resulting from planet-disk interactions\, su
 ch as rings\, azimuthal asymmetries\, and spirals. Simulations show that t
 he ngVLA can detect disk dust structures produced by Earth-mass planets or
 biting at 1 au around Sun-like stars in nearby star-forming regions. Such 
 structures are not accessible to any other existing or planned facility\, 
 due to insufficient resolution or high dust opacities. The short orbital t
 imescales will allow for multi-epoch ngVLA observations to produce "movies
 " that track the proper motions of the dust structures.\n\nhttps://events.

 ronomie)\nRadio interferometers are fantastic astrometric instruments. The
 y offer several advantages to optical and IR astrometry. First\, radio obs
 ervations are not affected by dust extinction\, then it allows to study ve
 ry deeply embedded objects that are inaccessible to shorter wavelengths. S
 econd they are phase-referenced with background quasars\, then the astrome
 try is nearly absolute. Phase-referencing with quasars also allows to comb
 ine observation taken with decades apart\, at different frequencies and ev
 en different interferometers. Finally\, VLBI radio-observations have astro
 metric accuracies similar and better than the Gaia telescope (the state of
  the art of optical astrometry). Furthermore\, the angular resolution of V
 LBI observation are two order of magnitude better than Gaia's\, enabling t
 o resolve tight binary systems that Gaia cannot. In this talk\, I will pre
 sent a short review of my stellar radio astrometry studies during the last
  decade\, highlighting our recent studies of tight binary systems\, and fu

 O)\nThe next-generation Very Large Array (ngVLA) is a large ground-based r
 adio telescope concept under development for the U.S. National Science Fou
 ndation (NSF) and global research community. Over the past few years\, ins
 trument design and prototyping activities have successfully explored the s
 cientific\, technical and operational requirements for the array. NSF has 
 funded these design efforts\, and recently formally designated ngVLA as a 
 candidate for construction funding later this decade.\n\nIn this talk\, I 
 will provide an overview of project status\, and describe key activities a
 nticipated in 2023 and 2024. A prototype antenna is being manufactured and
  will be tested in NM next year\; data acquisition systems are also being 
 implemented and tested. Domestic and international scientific and engineer
 ing partners for construction and operations will be an important part of

 jets are among the most powerful objects in the universe. They are launche
 d in the direct vicinity of rotating supermassive black holes and accelera
 te particles to highest energies. However\, the detailed launching and acc
 eleration mechanism are still unknown. Next generation Very Long Baseline 
 Interferometers (VLBI) will allow us to reliable observe and image simulta
 neously the accretion flow around the supermassive black holes together wi
 th the jet launching and acceleration zone. In order to explore these uniq
 ue capabilities and to provide theoretical expectations we perform general
  relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations of accretion on to black hol
 es and jet launching taking different particle heating models into account
 . From our simulations we compute multi-wavelength radiative signatures wh
 ich can be used to distinguish between heating models\, particle distribut
 ions and their acceleration sites using jet observations with future VLBI

 chnology)\nDecades of astrophysical research have left the process of jet 
 formation and acceleration in Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) as a central un
 solved problem. Using high-resolution VLBI at mm wavelengths\, we find evi
 dence for magnetic acceleration by the black hole and accretion disk in th
 e innermost jet expansion region. On the other hand\, the international LO
 FAR telescope has made significant progress at longer wavelengths\, provid
 ing high-resolution images of AGN host galaxies\, which allows a detailed 
 study of AGN feedback and black hole feeding. Combining AGN studies across
  the radio spectrum\, from LOFAR wavelengths to mm-VLBI\, is crucial to un
 raveling the physics underlying jet formation\, acceleration\, collimation
 \, and their interplay with host galaxy properties. Using as examples mult
 i-wavelength radio studies of the radio galaxies NGC3894 and NGC1052 I wil
 l discuss the power of VLBI to uncover the processes of jet expansion and 
 evolution in AGN and how these pursuits can be extended through future adv

 ~1 mJy/beam\, the effective imaging resolution of ngVLA at 116 GHz is expe
 cted to be superior to that of the present day EHT observations at 230 GHz
 . Application of frequency phase transfer\, both with fast frequency switc
 hing and cluster-cluster modes\, should provide relative astrometry at a ~
 1 µas positional accuracy. Continuum and line spectra would be probed at 
 a better than ~1 mJy/beam level at a fractional spectral resolution of 10^
 -6. These improvemnts in particular will open up new horizons in studies o
 f cosmic black holes and weakly interacting particles. Examples of such st
 udies will be briefly introduced in this presentation\, including measurem
 ents of magnetic field and other indicators of physical conditions near bl
 ack holes and most sensitive searches for dark photons and axions viewed a
 s promising candidates for the elusive dark matter carrier particle.\n\nht

 have always captivated astronomers since their discovery. Over the last fe
 w decades\, thanks to the possibilities offered by the Very Long Baseline 
 Interferometry observations\, crucial steps forward in unveiling their nat
 ure have been made. Relativistic jets are expected to initially propagate 
 as magnetic-dominated outflows and to progressively reach the equipartitio
 n state on sub-parsec and parsec scales. Over the same distances\, they co
 llimate reaching opening angles of a few degrees\, and accelerate up to hi
 gh relativistic velocities. Despite these advances\, several pieces of the
  puzzle remain elusive\, preventing a comprehensive understanding of such 
 processes.\n\nIn this presentation\, the topic is addressed by focusing on
  the nearby giant radio galaxy NGC 315. Thanks to its vicinity and large b
 lack hole mass\, NGC 315 offers a unique opportunity to unveil various asp
 ects of its jet formation on scales down to a few hundred Schwarzschild ra
 dii. We analyze the observational constraints within the framework of diff
 erent theoretical models\, offering insights into numerous jet properties\
 , including the nature of the magnetic fields and the mechanisms behind th
 e acceleration process. The results on NGC 315 are then compared with the 
 known properties of other AGN jets to offer a broader and complete view of
  the subject.\n\nFinally\, we highlight how the emerging capabilities of t
 he ngVLA will provide a unique opportunity to link the known jet propertie
 s on compact scales with the extended jet structures\, providing unprecede
 nted tools to explore the establishment of relativistic outflows.\n\nhttps
