DESCRIPTION:RATIONALE\nThe BONN neutron star workshops aim to bring togeth
 er observers and theoreticians to exchange and discuss new ideas related t
 o neutron star research in a one-day workshop.\n\n \n\nSTRUCTURE OF THE M
 EETING\nAs usual\, our meeting will start with a 'news' session on highlig
 hts from neutron star research. There will be two additional topical sessi
 ons related to peculiar supernovae and neutron stars. The conference dinne
 r (optional) is at your own expense. Lunches and coffee breaks are sponsor
 ed by the MPIfR.\n\n \n\nSPECIAL TOPIC \n\nPeculiar supernovae and neutr
 on stars\n\n\n	electron capture supernovae and their possible outcomes\n	t
 he progenitors of ultra-light/ultra-massive neutron stars\n	the outcome of
  merging white dwarfs \n	possible connections between extreme supernovae 
 and FRBs\n	advances in SN simulations and predictions (masses\, kicks\, 
 spins\, alignments etc.) \n	comparison between theory and observations\n\
