Summary
In this paper we will present the ongoing LNA design work that is taking place in the Advanced Radio Instrumentation Group (ARIG) at the University of Manchester. ARIG is a cross school research group focusing on developing world leading radio instruments, primarily for radio astronomy purposes.
The majority of our research is focused on designing and building high performance, ultra-low noise Low Noise Amplifiers. There are two broad themes to our LNA design efforts; we are working with commercially available semiconductor technologies and also with the latest state-of-the-art research technologies.
