SNAP2 & GPU Design for wideband and multichannel Backend
Summary
China has joined the SKA (Square Kilometre Array) since the early 1990s and made continuous contributions during this process, as SKA Advanced Instrumentation Program(SKA-AIP), we present an introduction of SNAP2(Smart Network ADC Processor 2) & GPU design for the backend of Wideband and multichannel usage, featuring the interleaved ADC up to 10Gsps@10bit or 16 inputs, million channels high spectral resolution and 40Gb/10Gb output rates. Also for the SKA dishes test, we present a brief introduction of the Dish Verification Antenna China (DVAC) and SKA-P with alignment calibration and Pulsar & H1 observation using FPGA and GPU based digital backend.
